> Personal data: what the contact form collects, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.

*This English translation is provided for information only. The French version of this page prevails.*

This page explains what information is collected on this website, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

## Data controller

Florence Albugues, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), Maison Française des Affaires Civiles & Patrimoniales. Contact: via the [contact form](https://la-maison-francaise.com/en/contact/) on this website.

## Information collected

The contact form collects your first and last name, your email address, your profile (family in France, French national abroad, other situation), your country of residence if you give it, and the message you write. Please do not include more detail about your situation than necessary: it will be discussed later, in an appropriate setting.

The “Become a partner” form on the Our partners page collects the name of the organisation, the name and email address of the person making the request, a short description, the website address and, if sent, a logo. This information is used to assess the request. If it is accepted, only the name of the organisation, the description, the logo and the link to the website are published, with the consent given by ticking the box on the form; the name and email address of the person are never published. A request that is not accepted is deleted.

## Why, and on what basis

This information is used solely to answer your request and, if you wish, to prepare an initial conversation. This processing is based on your request (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to which you agree by ticking the box on the form. It is never sold or used for marketing.

## Who has access

Florence Albugues only. Messages pass through the website host and Florence Albugues’s email service, which act as technical processors. The website is hosted in France by Hostinger. The website’s security network (Cloudflare, Inc.) and the email service (Google, Gmail) may process this data in the United States; these transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which both companies have signed up.

## How long

Three years from the last exchange if no collaboration follows. If support is put in place, the information is kept for its duration, then for as long as legal obligations require (accounting in particular).

## Cookies

The website sets no audience-measurement, advertising or social-network cookies and uses no external service (fonts and video are hosted on the site). It does not set technical cookies either, so no consent banner is needed.

## Your rights

You can ask to access your information, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to it, or request its portability, by writing via the [contact form](https://la-maison-francaise.com/en/contact/) on this website. You will receive a reply within one month.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
